Kevin Hart’s LOL Network called her, ”The female Jim Carrey.” Originally from Baltimore, MD, G Levi is a multi-hyphenate artist: actor, standup comedian, writer, director, producer, mask and puppet maker. With a B.A. in directing from Hampshire College, G is a graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts (Theater), was a student/troupe member at Second City LA (improv and sketch-writing) and the Puppet School (television puppetry). She is a versatile master of physical comedy.
The characteristics that define her brand of stand-up comedy has made her an in-demand director of comedy of other actors, such as Jamar Neighbors. After training intensives in the art of physical comedy with troupe members from revered institutions including The Julliard School, Ringling Bros. and The Hungarian Circus, G Levi has shared the stage with some of America’s greatest comics, like Lil’ Rel Howery, Luenell, Michael Blackson, Gary Owens, Mike Epps — and her mentor, Tiffany Haddish.
She recently made her West Coast live stage show directorial debut directing, co-creating and producing Jamar Neighbors’ one-man show, “It’s Definitely a Comedy Jam,” which earned her rave reviews from industry journalist Julie Seabaugh (Rolling Stone, The Hollywood Reporter, GQ, Variety). Julie described G’s work as “comedically air-tight and fun as hell to boot.” G studied visual art at the Corcoran School of Art and Design, in Washington D.C., and worked on a puppet design and educational programming project developed under Jim Henson Studios. G fuses her talents creating and producing live shows as well as a variety of comedic/educational content for various media and VR production firms such as Living Pop Ups in addition to private celebrity clientele such legendary singer and radio host Al. B Sure, and Dame Dash Studios. Ms. Levi is scheduled to perform her stand-up comedy in NYC in summer of 2020 at the famed Apollo Theater
